 In my opinion a started dog should be gun broke. It should be broke to lead and it should handle some and it should be truck broke.

It should also be able to go to the woods and show me a squirrel by itself. It wont tree every squirrel in the woods but it will tree on its own. The rest would be up to you and the amount of time you are willing to put into the dog to finish him or her out!
